Cheap 'n' Quirky Wedding

Just another weblog

About Me and My Blog February 16, 2010

My name is Colleen. By day, I’m a marketing coordinator at a publishing company; by night, I’m a bride-to-be planning an out-of-town wedding with my long-distance fiancé.

My fiancé and I am looking to plan a cost-effective yet unique wedding. Heck, these days being low-cost probably is unique. We’re trying to come in at under $10,000. Basically, I have found so much inspiration from other bridal blogs and seeing the ideas other brides are putting to use that I feel like I’d like to contribute my ideas too. Plus, my fiancé and I have been coming up with some strange ideas, as have our parents (who are contributing financially), that no one really agrees with, so at the very least maybe you’ll get a ridiculously dramatic tale of an epic battle over centerpieces.

So enjoy, share your ideas, leave comments (just not mean ones, I’ll delete those because I’d rather share love than viciousness), and watch me plan a cheap and quirky (and yet classy) wedding.

Hello! I was wondering where you were able to find battery op candles for $1.99? Great blog!

Thanks! We found battery operated tealights at Dollar Tree, I think they came in packs of two. Walmart also has some inexpensive, small battery operated pillar candles in their candle section, though they’re vanilla-scented. I forget exactly how much they are, but I think it might have been around $2.50 for a two-pack.
